Christy Demetrakis

Christy Demetrakis is President and founder of The Empowered Speaker, a communication skills training company. She offers public workshops and customized on-site programs for companies and organizations to improve their public speaking and presentation skills. Christy’s partial list of clients includes Procter & Gamble, the University of Arkansas, the University of Cincinnati, Starfire University, Cincinnati Public Schools and Cobb Vantress. She has served as a speaker at the Toastmasters District Conference and the National Black MBA Conference and is a certified instructor for the Speakers Training Camp™. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Speech Communications and Radio, Television and Motion Pictures. She has a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Christy has spent the last 20 years working in Fortune 500 companies in Management, Sales, Category Management, and Logistics. She is a member of Toastmasters, Professional Speakers Bureau International, Speakermatch, the African American Chamber of Commerce and The Network of Executive Women.
On a personal note, Christy has been married to James for 17 years and has 2 great kids and the sweetest dog in the world. She lives in Kentucky and is very active in her church.
